In the week leading up to the publication of Shoplifter! — a book I illustrated for Gestalten about innovative brand spaces and the golden age of retail design — the publisher also released an interview they did with me. Be sure to check it out here to read a bit more about how I started my career, where I find my inspiration and what my life is like living and working from the Italian Alps. Oh, and there's also a bit where I confess my secret desire to design a rug or to become a shepherd if all else fails.
The title is self-explanatory, really. I'm just exited.
I was invited to design a fictional book cover to be risoprinted at the Leipzinger Buchmesse. I chose to create a cover for the wonderfully intriguing classic Das Parfum by Patrick Süskind. The cover was risoprinted in an edition of 100 samples in two colours on A3. I still have a few prints left, so send me a message if you're interested in one!
As a special collaboration with De Makers Bureau for their Maker of the Month platform, I created this large 40 × 50 cm fine art giclée print, that is currently available by print on demand!
This signed print on 350gsm museum etching paper is currently for sale for € 65, and can be ordered online here.
Alternatively, because the webshop is in Dutch, you can also contact me directly, for orders or further information.
A big thanks to everyone who came to the opening of my exposition Verre Kijkers at Kornél and helped to make it great! I had a wonderful time, I hope you did too!
If you couldn't make it to the opening, you can still visit the exposition until the 28th of May.
Hi! I am a Belgian illustrator and visual artist, currently living and working in the alpine mountains of Italy.
I make illustrations for books, prints, editorials and campaigns for a variety of international clients, and always welcome new challenges.
When I'm not in my atelier, you can find me swapping my shoes for a pair of sturdy boots, either contemplating this year’s garden experiments, or hiking in the mountains while stuffing my pockets with all kinds of wild edibles.
I‘m represented worldwide by my agent Folio. For commissions outside of Belgium or the Netherlands, please get in touch with them at info@folioart.co.uk or +44 (0)20 7242 9562
