Stationary

When graphic studio Dogma provided me with a visual update on my quotation and invoice, I was set to think on how I could add an illustration to give them their distinctive appeal and personal touch, while showing off my skill set.

Because I wanted to go past simply settling for an illustration that, despite being appealing, was little more then an accessory to an empty page corner, I decided to go for something a bit more exciting. Although I work in different fields within illustration – and on occasion outside of illustration entirely – I believe a common denominator in my work is a narrative approach. In essence, I’m a storyteller. It’s what I love doing.

Seeing that a quotation and an invoice always – if all goes well, that is – follow up on each other sequentially, I figured it wouldn’t be a silly idea to apply this narrative form to my stationary as well.

The resulting images act as a quirky wink to the attentive audience, giving away a tiny metaphoric story while adding a touch of humour to a document of otherwise more serious nature.
